Cottage Grove Parade

On Saturday October 28th we got to be part of the Monster Bash Parade in Cottage Grove. Our float theme was Bestie Bees and we won third place for most creative float. We had a custom bee hive pinata made by Cheyanne’s grandma.  We got to meet the royalty from Cottage Grove Strawberry Fest, Rice Street, and Glenwood City. It was so cold but so many people came to see the parade and everyone else who was in it. We saw a lot of people dressed up in really cool costumes. We were singing a lot of songs that were playing while we were on the float. It was our first parade as royalty and it was so much fun doing it with all of with my royal family.

Ghostly Gathering

The IGH royal court and I had an amazing time at the Ghostly Gathering. Some of our favorite parts were dancing with the little kids, and them jumping up and down to the songs. Another thing was we created a train and we had lots of fun having kids join us. We had so much fun helping out at this event we can’t wait for more!

Junior Miss Princess First Service Project

On Thursday October 19th I had the wonderful opportunity of getting to go to the River Heights Church in Inver Grove Heights and help with the Loaves and Fishes program. Loaves and Fishes is a volunteer job where you get to help package and serve meals to the Inver Grove Heights community and surrounding communities. It was a very fun experience. I also got the pleasure of talking to Mona one of the lead helpers of the program. Mona told me lots about how long Loaves and Fishes has been going on, and some of the fun things about it. This was a great program to volunteer at, and I really enjoyed how friendly everyone was.

Sincerely,

Your 2024 Junior Miss Princess Lily

Dog Pawty

We had an amazing time at the Lets Pawty dog event!  We walked around and checked out all the fun booths, like the smooch your pooch kissing booth. One thing we all did together was make a bandana for dogs. We made a new friend named, Fiona, who makes cat & dog treats by a person with a disability.

Sponsor visit

Today I visited my sponsor Bruce, at Quality Auto Care Center. I am finishing my year as Royalty with the IGH Scholarship Program and I wanted to thank him again for sponsoring me this past year. I have enjoyed meeting Bruce and hearing about his business, family and activities. Without wonderful sponsors like Bruce the program would not be possible. Bruce is continuing his sponsorship for a new candidate in the program now. A heartfelt thank you to Bruce. His support is so greatly appreciated.

Service Project

My Little Library
My service project consisted of me, first asking me parents if we could put in My Little Library in our yard. They said yes. Second, I asked my dad for help to build a little house. We looked up different designs, and decided simple was best. My mom called gopher one on my behalf, because call before you dig and lastly asking family and friends for books. My mom’s only request, paint it to look like our house. I had a lot of fun to doing this project, it was actually an all-family project. My siblings went through their books to add to the selection. My dad helping me build it and my mom calling.
I hope you come and pick a book sometime

Sponsor Visit

As I approach the end of my year as Little Miss Inver Grove Heights Princess, I visited my sponsor, Stockyards Tavern to thank them for this great experience.  My family and I wanted to also thank them by patronizing their restaurant.  We were able to thank the Manager personally and take some pictures and enjoy delicious food.  I really appreciate their support for this amazing experience and plan on eating there many times in the future.

Service Project

For my service project, I made a baby quilt for Bundles of Love. My quilt had fun colors and the theme was bugs. I picked the fabric, cut the pieces and stitched it all together in my Oma’s sewing machine.
Karen was thrilled a young person was making a quilt, and looked forward to giving it to a child in need.
Sincerely
