As my year as Little Miss Inver Grove Heights comes to an end this Saturday, I visited my sponsor, Wipaire. Sponsor Visit: Quality Auto Care

On 9/10 I went to go visit my amazing sponsor Quality Auto Care Center. When we got there I met with Bruce and he showed us all of his pictures of his past people he has sponsored. I had so much fun and thank you so much to Quality Auto Care Center for sponsoring me!

Hometown Heroes Cookout

September 9 was the start of Inver Grove Heights Days, and my royal sisters and I got to attend the Hometown Heroes event. Butcher Bert and his team from Hometown Meats served hamburgers and hot dogs. There were also ice cream cones and cotton candy for everyone to enjoy. It was so much fun seeing so many people from our community come together to thank our Hometown Heroes!

Service Project: Guiding Star Wakota

Recently, I had the opportunity to volunteer at Guiding Star Wakota, and I had such a great experience! While I was there, we sorted clothes and took a tour around the office. It was really interesting to see how the organization works and learn about all the ways they support families.

Guiding Star Wakota is a nonprofit organization in West St. Paul that helps women, parents, children, and families in need. They provide resources such as diapers, clothing, baby supplies, parenting classes, counseling, and other support. The organization began in 1976 and has grown into a large center serving families throughout the surrounding communities.

Cindy did a great job showing me the ropes when I went to volunteer. I really enjoyed being able to help, even with something as simple as sorting clothes. It made me realize that small acts of service can make a big difference for families. I had so much fun volunteering at Guiding Star Wakota, and I would definitely do it again!

Sponsor Visit: Hometown Meats and Sweets

As I finish my year as Junior Miss Inver Grove Heights, I’m especially thankful for my sponsors, Rob and Robin at Hometown Meats & Sweets. Their support, kindness, and community pride made this experience even more meaningful. Representing Inver Grove Heights has been such an honor, and I’m grateful for every moment.

Service Project: Cahill Cleanup

On Friday, September 4, I had the day off from school, so I completed my second service project. My family, friends, and I helped clean up Cahill Avenue and Simley Island before Inver Grove Heights Days. It was a very hot day and we worked hard.  After filling more than six bags with garbage, the area looked much cleaner! Thank you to the Inver Grove Heights Parks Department for letting us borrow trash pickers to help with the project. I hope you notice the cleaner streets when you come to the parade on Saturday, September 12.

Feed My Starving Children

Current royalty and our candidates were able to volunteer at Feed my starving children. We were able to pack lots of meals and had fun doing it.

We had so much fun at the Woodbury parade, the last parade before our own city days. We met with lots of other royalty and winter carnival. Such a fun day.

Woodbury Coronation

On Monday, August 31st my royal family, the current candidates and I went to East Ridge High School to watch the Woodbury coronation. We saw all the Woodbury candidates introduce themselves and show off picture frames they had made to represent meaningful things in their life. Seven great candidates were selected to be the new Woodbury Royal Family. After the reception we had cake, drinks, and met the new royalty. I had so much fun and congratulations to the new Woodbury ambassadors!

Sponsor Visit: Drkulas 32 Bowl

I was able to visit my sponsor the other day. It was nice to visit and thank Tim with Drkulas 32 bowl for the support throughout the year. Without him and other sponsors this program wouldn’t be possible.
