On Sunday, August 6, 2023, my royal sisters, and I attended the Little Canada Days parade. We had a great time visiting with other royalty and were able to have one more parade with the Rice Street Royal Court. The rain held out until our Royal Float Crew (aka, our parents) packed up our float. We had lots of laughs as we are walking back to our cars while it down poured. Definitely a fun memory.

On August 5th, the IGH Royalty attended the 19th annual American Cancer Society, “Relay for Life” fundraising event. This event was held from 4 to 10 pm with hundreds of participants during this time. There were food trucks and booths selling items to raise money. As well as games and entertainment. The first lap of the relay was for Cancer survivors. All wore purple shirts. A sunset luminaria ceremony was planned to remember loved ones and honor those who continue their fight against cancer. We walked the track and visited with people in attendance. I came away from the Relay event with more awareness of how many people have cancer and the research and treatments needed to fight it. Organizers were very pleased that the funds raised exceeded the goal, by raising more the $25,000. These funds are used to support cancer research and patient care programs.

On August 1st, the IGH Royalty and I attended the Woodbury Ambassador Program Kick-Off Dinner at the Royal Golf Club. We got to meet the candidates and talk to the current Woodbury ambassadors.We also got to socialize with the Rice Street Royalty, Aquatennial and Winter Carnival Royalty.There were desserts for sale prepared by the little candidates, and gift baskets for an auction prepared by the Miss candidates. The desserts were really delicious and the gift baskets had wonderful prizes.

On Tuesday, August 1, my Royal sisters and I attended and helped with Terrific Tuesdays at Oakwood Park. We helped with attendance but also got to rock out with the kids while they played music. After the concert we handed out freezes to the kids.
I’m a little sad that this was the last Terrific Tuesday of the summer. I had so much fun with the younger kids from our community throughout the summer!

My royal sisters and I attended the Rosemount Leprechaun Days parade. It took us awhile to get to our to float because, there were a lot of people attending but, the route was short. The Vulcans jumped on our float and danced. It was a hot day so, we cooled off by having root beer floats at the end of the parade.

Wednesday July 26, my royal sisters and I meet the new candidates for our program. We have 14 official candidates, it was a lot of fun to see all the girls who want to be apart of the organization.
I’m sad to give my title up but I’m happy the new girls will experience all the fun we have.

My Royal sisters and I helped with the “Terrific Tuesday” children event at Oakwood Park. The theme for the day was “Kidpower!” with Rachael featuring music and an animal show. The music consisted of cute children’s songs with sing along and dancing. The animals were a Chinchilla and a Bearded Dragon. Since it was my birthday, I was given the opportunity to hold the Chinchilla. Never had held one before. So cute and soft! It was a very hot morning and we distributed Freezies for a treat for the kids. It was fun dancing and visiting with the children. Everyone had a good time.

On Monday July 25th the IGH Royalty and I attended the Twins Sparkle Night. We had fun at the pregame activities and got to walk on the Target Field with royalty from all over the state. We also got to take pictures with the Twins Catcher, Christian Vasquez and with TC the Mascot. For this event we wore our fun Jerseys and tennis shoes, we want to thank Jesse for customizing them not only for us but for our family members too.
This was a nice family event and a day we were really proud to see Ashley, former IGH Royalty, as a member of the Twins organization.
We also had a little fun crowning a few little girls and talking to them and their families about our IGH Scholarship Program.

My royal court and I attended the Raspberry Festival Royal Breakfast it was a pre parade event and we got to meet the newly crowned Raspberry Festival Court.After breakfast we were ready to line up for The Grand Day Parade.We enjoyed waiting in line and took some fun pictures. There were a lot of people in the streets of Hopkins celebrating and enjoying the nice sunny day.

On July 20th my Royal sisters and I got to go to Inver Grove Heights Food Truck Days at Rich Valley Athletic Complex. First, we helped set up some games for the people to play. There was a giant Connect 4, corn hole, and some sort of large washer toss game. After that we got to mingle with the people of Inver Grove Heights and we got to see a lot of food trucks and get some dinner from some of them. There was even a DJ playing music and keeping the kids entertained. We had beautiful weather and some people brought their lawn chairs and ate dinner while talking to other people.
