On Saturday, August 20, 2022, my royal sisters and I spent the day in Hudson Wisconsin for Pepperfest! It was a really fun event. We started the day with breakfast, which was delicious! We got to see other royalty and be in the parade. We also got Pepperfest bandanas! I even got pepper earrings!

On Wednesday August 17th, the Inver Grove Heights Scholarship Program hosted their annual Kick Off Dinner. At the Kick Off Dinner, everyone got the chance to formally meet our candidates and see their “all about me records”. There was a lively dessert auction and a silent auction as well. It was really great to see everyone there and catch up with people we haven’t seen in a long time. I would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who helped put this event together. Without your hard work and dedication it would not have been possible

My royal sisters and I went to the parks and recreation safety camp at the Veterans Memorial Community Center. We had the privilege of handing out awards to the children. The children also got lots of goodies with their awards. It was so fun to be a part of this event. It brought back the fun memories of when I used to participate in safety camp.

For my final service project, I did a feminine hygiene product drive benefitting Neighbors Inc in South St Paul. I coordinated with Knowlans to be a collection point for the products and Captive Images for any cash donations. Thank you to both of them. After the products were donated, I separated them into sets of 10 and put them in baggies. I collected enough in products and money to create 94 10 packs of products, which weighed 15 pounds, that will be distributed at Neighbors. Thank you to everyone who donated.

Today I went in for my final sponsor visit with Heartland Credit Union. I have had such a fun time this year, thanks to their support of our program. It made me happy that they were excited to see me when I walked in the door. To show my thanks, I brought them cookies and a thank you card. Thank you again Heartland Credit Union staff for all of your support during my candidacy and throughout my year. I truly appreciate them for all they do.

On Thursday, August 4th, my royal family and I went to the Woodbury Ambassador kick-off dinner to see their candidates and current royalty. The little candidates made deserts and I had some delicious chocolate cake. The Woodbury ambassadors are some of my favorite people I have met during my royal reign and it was bittersweet seeing their year start to come to an end. I’m super happy for the candidates and can’t wait to see who will be crowned. Good Luck to all their candidates.

For my third sponsor visit, I met with Bill Foster, who is the current president of The Moose Lodge 1088. After catching up a bit on what has happened since I last saw him, we talked a bit about school starting up soon. He was able to give me good advice that I will take with me into college. I would really like to thank The Moose Lodge 1088 for sponsoring me this year, without their support I would not be able to do some of the things I did and I look forward to the continued partnership with The Moose Lodge 1088.

We celebrated the last Terrific Tuesday with the Bazillions. It was a beautiful day. They were a band that did rock n roll kids’ songs like head, shoulders, knees, and toes. They did a song about parents sharing more and lots of silly fun songs. There were 3 people singing. You can check out the Bazillions Facebook page and other social media. They did a great job teaching songs about education so, your kids can learn to be strong and independent adults when they grow up.

On Wednesday, August 3rd, the Inver Grove Heights Royal Family and their candidates got the chance to help clean up the Veterans Memorial Community Center by weeding. It was a very rewarding experience for us to help out our community and showed our candidates how even a small action such as weeding can make everything look so nice. I can’t wait to see what’s next for us to do.

On August 2, we went to South Valley Park for Terrific Tuesday. There was a performance by The Bazillions. They sang and played guitar. Kids were dancing and singing along. It was fun to watch and a great way to say hello to the community!
