Miss Inver Grove 2018 Sponsor Visit

Without the generous support of my sponsor I would not be able to be apart of this amazing program. My sponsor, Hometown Meats, has done so much for me. The owners Rob and Robin, have supported me throughout my year and I owe so much to them. Meeting with them and thanking him for such an incredible year was so fun. There are truthfully no words to describe Rob’s generosity to the City of Inver Grove Heights and to me. Knowing Rob and his family has been a privilege. Thank you so much for your support.

2018 Special Olympic Luau

Our royal family of the Miss Inver Grove Heights scholarship program went and volunteered for the Special Olympics Lau. The event was held at the VFW in South St. Paul. The new candidates were also there that are running for the Miss IGH program. Together we helped serve food, great guests and danced with all the guests. We really had a fun time with all the athletes present at this event. We all had so much fun and bonded with the athletes, candidates and family members that were there. I really enjoyed this event with all the celebration and would enjoy helping again.

Thank You,

Sponsor Visit

I got to meet with my sponsor, Rob from Hometown Meats. Being able to thank him in person for all he has done for the city of Inver Grove Heights and for me and the Inver Grove Heights Scholarship Program was really special. Without his support I would not have been able to achieve such amazing things through the program and to grow as an individual. I got to go down to the food truck and eat some really good food at Gertens. I had such a fun time. Thank you so much to Rob and Hometown Meats for their sponsorship.

2018 Common Sense with Seniors

On Thursday, July 26th, my royal sisters and I attended the Common Sense Seniors fishing trip with this year’s Miss IGH candidates. There were a few extra poles so some of the girls tried fishing. They caught a few fish, but most just stole the bait. It was a small turnout due to the weather, but it was still fun!

2018 Town Square Television

On Monday my royal sisters and I filmed a segment about our scholarship program with Town Square Television. In our portion of the programming, we talked about the history of our program, the candidacy process, and our goal of “making a difference in the lives of young women” by building our personal skills such as speaking, interviewing, and minding our image presentation, as well as teaching us the value of service to others. The candidates were also at the event, and had the opportunity to introduce themselves and talk a little bit about their interests and why they want to be a part of our program. It has been fun getting to know all of the candidates, and I’m excited to see what the rest of the year has in store!

2018 Jr Princess Service Project

For my second service project, I donated to the Animal Humane Society in Woodbury. I went door to door in my neighborhood to collect items from the AHS wish list. I collected  eight bags full of old towels, blankets, Kleenex, paper towels, and pet food. My mom helped me get 1,200 newspapers from the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and the AHS employees were very excited to see them all! I am so glad to have helped the animals by donating to the AHS.

2018 Service Project Miss Queen

For my second service project, I completed Relay for Life with my school! With my team, “Got Hope” we raised money for the American Cancer Society. I raised $200 towards my team’s goal of $1000. My school’s goal was $10,000, which we successfully raised! Aside from raising money, we spent the night at our school, on the turf, pulling an all-nighter, to signify that cancer never sleeps. It was so fun to rally with my friends and school, and get together with community members who are suffering or are survivors of cancer. I can not wait to volunteer with Relay for Life again, to honor those that I do and don’t know who are suffering from cancer

2018 Little Princess Sponsor Visit

On August 2nd, 2018 I visited my sponsor CBL Floors for the 2nd and final time. I gave my sponsor a Hershey bar for a gift as a Thank You for sponsoring  me. This was an added Thank You to my prior gift of a framed picture of when I was crowned and a candy dish. It was really fun to see my framed picture on their show room floor. I learned that my sponsor is really fun and supportive. They were there at my coronation when I was crowned and were really fun and nice to work with. It is really funny, that while visiting I learned I love hard wood floors!
