2019 Winter Carnival Coronation

My Royal sisters and I had the honor of attending the St. Paul Winter Carnival Coronation. We had so much fun meeting royalty all the way from Florida and South Dakota.  It was very exciting to get to meet them and mingle with other royalties. We even got to see our Miss Queen, Joy, for a couple of minutes before she went off to continue her fun at Queens weekend.

Winter Carnival Grand Day Parade

On January 26th, me and my royal sisters had the privilege to be in the Winter Carnival parade. It was very cold, but worth it. We got to see all the Winter Carnival people that were new. We also got to see past royalty. It was so much fun I had a great time.

2019 Miss Sponsorship visit

One foundation for this program consists of our sponsors. Our sponsors do so much for the royal court and we wouldn’t be here without them. I am proudly sponsored by Quality Auto Care Center, a business run on genuine servitude. Bruce Bairakataris, the owner of Quality Auto Care Center, has sponsored our program for many years and we are truly grateful. I felt the need to thank him personally as well as a whole from all the young females who were impacted by his generousity. Bruce is truly the kindest soul and I am so proud to have him as my sponsor. Thanks again Bruce!

2019 Winter Carnival Candidate Dinner

On January 10th, 2019, Tessa and I attended the candidate dinner for the St. Paul Winter Carnival Royalty. It was so amazing to get to know all the candidates, and the food was so delicious! It was also nice to see Tim, our own MC for our coronation. I love the humor he always brings to the stage. All these beautiful ladies deserve a spot on the Royalty. I’m excited to see who gets crowned!

Jr Miss Second Service Project

During the month of November, I collected books for the Concord Education Center. This is a new school in the area and they did not have many books for their library. I had help from my sister-in-law, Linda, and together we reached out to multiple people and businesses to see if they would be willing to help out the school. In total more than 1,300 books were donated to the school.  Thank you so much to the community of Inver Grove Heights for donating to the book drive. Thank you to the people at my moms work for donating books and thank you to the Friends of the Inver Glenn Library, Midway Used and Rare Books, and Red Balloon Bookshop.

While there, we also talked to a few of the candidates for the Queen of Snows. Throughout the evening we met up with a few of our previous girls from the program. It was nice to see them all again. Congratulations to Sylvia, Caitlyn, and Maddie, the new Junior Winter Carnival Family. We wish you a fantastic year and hope to get to know the three of you better.

Jr Winter Carnival Chili Cook Off

Chili cook-off

On Sunday December 9th, your royal court of Inver Grove Heights, minus the littles, attended the Kettles of Fire Junior Winter Carnival chili cook-off! My absolute favorite chili was curated by the Klondike Kate’s, and I loved it because of its sweetness. It really added some love to the chili! It was so amazing to meet the candidates for Junior Winter Carnival, and it was so awesome to see two of our past princesses using the wonderful public speaking abilities they gained throughout their reign as Inver Grove Heights ambassadors, to answer some tough fishbowl questions. Good luck Katie and Grace! And good luck to the rest of the candidates as well. We can’t wait to see everyone again at the coronation!

Cub Foods Bagging

On 12-22-18 we bagged groceries at cub foods as a fundraiser for our  program. We bagged from 10-4 at the Cub Foods on Cahill Ave.  Some of the past royalty helped too. It was a fun way to bond with my royal sisters and get to know some of the other girls that had been crowned while socializing with the customers.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

My royalty sisters and I had the honor of helping others by bell ringing for the Salvation Army over the weekend. We had a lot of fun! We got to ring the bells and sing Christmas songs together. It was fun getting to see how happy everyone was that we were spreading the Christmas cheer!
