Saint Paul Winter Carnival Royal Promenade Fashion Show

On Saturday, January 18, my Royal court and I went to the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Royal Promenade Fashion Show. We saw all of the wonderful Candidates for Queen of the Snows model all of their beautiful outfits. We had the opportunity to get to know some of them by mingling and talking to them. We saw the current 2019 Winter Carnival Royal Family show off their beautiful outfits as well. We had a wonderful luncheon right before the fashion show which was delicious. We looked around at the different booths that were displayed with wonderful items. My Royal Court and I had a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone who made the fashion show happen. It was wonderful ! Thank you again to everyone who made that event possible.

Saint Paul Winter Carnival Queen of Snows Candidate Dinner

On January 09, I had the privilege of attending the Queen of Snows Candidate Dinner. At the dinner, I got to meet the candidates, the current royal family, and various past members of the winter carnival. It was astonishing to see how involved and passionate each individual involved in winter carnival was! I am going to miss the 2019 royal family, but I look forward to spending time with the 2020 family!

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

On December 29, my Royal Court and I did the Salvation Army bell ringing at Cub Foods. We got outside and already people were putting money in the bucket. We thought it would be fun if we sang Christmas songs and made up our own fun little dances for some entertainment, so we did so. We attracted people with our singing and dancing and just having smiles on our faces. We enjoyed raising money for a good cause. My Royal Court and I hope that this money helps the many people in need.

The Clouds Choir Event at MOA

My royal sisters and I proudly participated in The Clouds choir event at the Mall of America. Every floor around the east atrium at the MOA was lined with people coming out to support childhood cancer research and to honor Zach Sobiech. More than $700,000 was raised for cancer research here in MN. We all sang Zach’s song “clouds”. It was beautiful.

Sponsor Visit

Our program would not be available today if it was not for the amazing businesses and individuals that sponsor the candidates or the Inver Grove Heights Scholarship program as a whole. I was lucky enough to have Gertens sponsor me for this year! The staff had been very welcoming and supportive of me while I was a candidate and following the coronation they continue to be supportive and show excitement for this program and the events we attend. We are very thankful for everything Gertens, and the rest of our sponsors, do for us!

Candy Cane Hunt

On Saturday, December 7th, my royal sisters and I attended the Candy Cane Hunt at South Valley Park. We did the count down for the kids to start the search for the candy canes. While the kids were searching for the candy canes a few of us went to prepare some cookies and hot apple cider for the participants and their families.  We enjoyed those snacks after the event along with some Christmas music.

Santa’s Workshop

On Saturday, December 8, my royal family and I attended Santa’s Workshop. This event took place in West Saint Paul, so we were accompanied by the West Saint Paul Royalty as well. This event gave the children in the surrounding communities a chance to come and buy presents for their families. The child’s guardian gives them a budget and they have the opportunity to use the money and shop Santa’s workshop. I was a shopper so I got to walk around with children individually and help them to pick out presents for their loved ones. I had a lot of fun at this event and I would love to volunteer again in the future.

Skate With Santa

On Saturday, December 7, the Inver Grove Heights Royal Family spent the night at the Skate With Santa event. We started off the night by helping hand out skates to all of the guests until we got to lace up our own skates and hit the ice! A lot of us had no idea how to skate, but a really sweet girl named Ava offered to teach us and she stuck by my side the rest of the night!
