On Tuesday, June 22 I had the opportunity to attend Terrific Tuesday in South Valley Park, where they had a musical performance for the kids and Inver Glen Library brought a book people could read by walking around the ballpark. I got to help set up and greet the families that came for the show! There were over 150 people in attendance and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun. I enjoyed Terrific Tuesday last summer and I am excited to take part in it again this year!

On June 6, my royal sisters and I participated in the Good Neighbors Day Parade in Roberts, Wisconsin. It was so much fun. We started out day out with going to a tea with all of the other royalty groups. It was nice meeting and visiting with the other royalty. It was beautiful day for a parade. I enjoyed being out on the float in this weather.

On the weekend of May 14th, my royal court and I took a trip to Westby Wisconsin to celebrate their Syttende Mai festival. This is something that our program attends every year so it is kind of a tradition for some of us. We started the weekend off by enjoying some time together and catching up as we haven’t been able to see each other in quite some time. Saturday morning we had the opportunity to meet with the newly crowned Syttende Mai royalty and hear about their festival. We watched the children’s parade and tried some delicious Norwegian treats. After our eventful morning, we piled into our cars and headed into Amish country to do some Amish shopping. This is my personal favorite part of the weekend as it was such a fun bonding opportunity and we got to try many delish Amish baked goods. We ended the weekend by playing some board games together as a group and eating lots of the snacks that we had bought that day. I look forward to being able to attend the festival next year. Thank you to the Swenson family for introducing us to this festival!

On Saturday, May 1, 2021, Autumn and I went to Oakwood Park to help kids in age groups 6 to 8, and 9 to 14 learn tennis skills. I was very impressed by how well these kids could hit the balls and it was good to see them having fun while playing games. I even got to join in on one of the games and it was very tiring as the weather got hot but a lot of fun and my team ended up winning! I would definitely volunteer to help with tennis again.

On Sunday, January 31, the Inver Grove Heights royalty had the lucky opportunity to help out at the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Drive-thru Ice and Snow Sculpture Park parade at the Minnesota State Fair. Attendees drove past the Winter Carnival royal float, where we were dancing and waving to the vehicles. The cars were lined up back to back so there was never a dull moment! On top of having the chance to say hi to the hundreds of passer-bys, we also got the chance to catch up with the Woodbury royalty, Winter Carnival royal family, Pepperfest royalty, some Royal Guards, and we had the unique opportunity to be knighted by the Vulcans!
