Junior Miss Service Project

For my first service project, I did Corey’s Closet. Corey’s Closet is an organization created by one of our board members Michele Fox. This organization is to help teenagers and families with necessities that they need such as toiletries, clothes, etc. Corey’s closet is located at Simley High School. I chose to reach out and help this program because I can’t imagine what it’s like going out with things that you need and I think that it is important that people reach out and help organizations such as Corey’s Closet.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the donations and those who helped make my service project possible. I hope that all of the items that were donated help many people in need.

Miss Princess 2nd Service Project

For my second service project as the 2020 Miss Inver Grove Heights Princess, I decided I wanted to give back to the animals in the community. I started my project by reaching out to friends and family and asking them if they would be willing to donate any cat or dog supplies. I was very grateful to receive many donations from so many wonderful people. Thank you so much if you helped contribute to this project. Next, I decided that I wanted to handmake dog toys to donate as well. With the help of my mom, I ended up handmaking almost 100 dog toys to donate as well. These dog toys were made out of fleece that I had leftover from my last service project where I made tie blankets for children’s hospital. This fleece was also donated to me by friends and family. Once I had all of my supplies together I dropped off the supplies at Last Hope which is an animal organization that is located in Farmington. This organization helps to supply dog and cat items to people in the surrounding areas. On top of this, they also help get dogs and cats into foster homes until they can be adopted out. I am so grateful that I got to work with such an amazing organization on this project and I am also so grateful that I had the help of so many friends and family members to complete this project.

Leap Year Event

On Saturday, February 29th my royal sisters and I participated in the Inver Grove Heights Scholarship Programs Leap Year bowling event.  It was a lot of fun. There was bowling, a silent auction, and a taco feed. It was fun spending time with all of the girls from different royalty programs. Thank you to everyone from the community, neighboring communities, other royalty programs, and the past royalty and their families for coming out and supporting our program!

Little Miss Service Project

For my first service project, I chose to collect donations for Secondhand Hounds Animal Rescue. Secondhand Hounds Rescue, fosters and finds forever homes for dogs and cats. This project was special to me because that’s where we got our dog, Millie. For a little more than a month I collected new and gently used dog/cat supplies. I reached out to family, friends, and our community for donations. I am thankful for the amount of support I received from everyone. Thanks to all of the support I was able to donate so much stuff for the animals!

Queen’s Weekend – St. Paul Winter Carnival

For the kickoff of St. Paul Winter Carnival, I was fortunate to represent Inver Grove Heights at Queen’s Weekend. During this four day event, we had 97 ambassadors visiting from all over Minnesota and Wisconsin! We had a full weekend that included saying farewell to the 2019 Winter Carnival Royal Family at their coronation and meeting the wonderful 2020 Royal Family. We played around at the science museum, met the Vulcan crews from the past years, created our own paintings, and attended the Grande Day Parade!

This was a very memorable weekend full of a lot of smiles, minimal sleep, and various snacks! My two favorite parts of this entire weekend would be being able to see and hug my Inver Grove Heights royal family at the coronation and being able to walk the parade and interact with the excited crowd!

Princess’s Dance

On February 7th, my royal sisters and I attended the Princess’s Dance at the Inver Grove Heights Community Center. We had dinner, played games and did crafts before the dance started. We also got our photos taken in the photo booth and so did all our Dads. The DJ played some slow songs and all the girls got to dance with their dads. At the end we took a picture with all the little princesses.

Service Project: Caring Hearts of Minnesota

On January 21, 2020, I dropped off the rest of the items for my first community service project. My community service project was where you can donate pretty much anything to Caring Hearts of Minnesota, and they will give it away for free to people that need it.

My target was to get to 500 items and we collected more than 700 items! The organization that I went to was in Farmington. I meet with a lady named Fran who was more than happy to receive all the stuff that I collected. I just want to say thank you to all my friends and family that helped my reach my goal. I’m so happy to know that I am helping people in need.

Sponsor Visit: Quality Auto Care Center

I have been honored to be sponsored by Quality Auto Care Center throughout my candidacy and now my reign. It is very important to me that I show this business how much I value their continued support. Around the holidays I stopped in and visited with the owner, Bruce. We talked for quite a while and he told me all about the new things that have been happening there since my last visit. Bruce is such a personable guy and when you stop in he truly makes you feel like family. The fact that he took time out of his busy schedule to make time to meet with me really shows how much he cares about his community. I look forward to the rest of the year and he is one of the special people that have made that happen for me.

Saint Paul Winter Carnival Queen of Snows Candidate Dinner

On January 09, I had the privilege of attending the Queen of Snows Candidate Dinner. At the dinner, I got to meet the candidates, the current royal family, and various past members of the winter carnival. It was astonishing to see how involved and passionate each individual involved in winter carnival was! I am going to miss the 2019 royal family, but I look forward to spending time with the 2020 family!
