Service Project: Animal Humane Society

On August 31th I completed my last service project before I give up my crown. I made snuffle mats to donate to the Animal Humane Society. Each snuffle mat took me about 2-3 hours to make. I made 9 snuffle mats each being a different color, and I had so much fun making these! I can’t wait for all the dogs to snuffle these mats

Service Project: Inver Grove Heights Fire Department

On Tuesday August 26th I completed my 3rd and final service project, my service project was making fire kits for the Inver Grove Heights Fire Departments, the Fire kits are for families who had a tragic house fire, the kits contained waters, granola bars, N95 masks, cloth gloves, tissues, as well as latex gloves, all in all I got

104 waters, 224 granola bars, 120+ N95 masks, 258 cloth gloves, 10 tissues, and 500 latex gloves. I was able to make over 30 fire kits, I would like to thank everyone who donated to my service project, without you guys it wouldn’t have been possible, and I’m so happy my final service project was with the Inver Grove Heights Fire Department, I had such a fun time making the kits, I even got to take a picture with Fire Fighter – Fire Inspector Derek  McNamara and the fire truck Tender 26.

Woodbury Parade

On Sunday August 24, my royal sisters and I attended the Woodbury parade. It was fun meeting all the Woodbury candidates and talking to other royalties communities. I can’t believe that this parade was our last parade beside ours on September 6! It’s been such a wonderful year so far.

North Hudson, WI Pepper Fest

Saturday August 16th, we attended the North Hudson Pepperfest parade and celebration.  The rain stopped just in time to start the parade. It was cool seeing some royalties from cities we don’t get to see often.  After the parade we entered the spaghetti eating contest where we each ate a pound of spaghetti! It was quite an experience and gave me insight into competitive eating! It was a good day and fun town celebration!

2025 Candidate Interviews

On August 13th my royal sisters and I met at the Inver Glen Library to  support this year’s candidates for their interviews with the judges who will help decide the next royal sisters. During the visit, we also got to record our farewell speeches for this year’s coronation and we got to mingle and make a bond with the candidates while we all waited for our turn to record our speeches. It was a really fun night!

Relay for Life

On Saturday, August 2nd, my Royal sisters and I attended the Relay For Life in South St. Paul. When we first arrived, we began by judging various puzzle piece designs that were designed around cancer awareness. The relay then kicked off with Commissioner Joe Atkins who gave an opening speech addressing how much the Relay for Life has helped and he also introduced everyone to several cancer survivors and people impacted by it. Near the end, Commissioner Atkins invited the “Klondike Kate’s” to sing which ended up with them inviting my royal sisters and I to sing along with them. Once the relay began, my royal sisters and I cheered for everyone participating and also cheered on all the survivors as they went around the track. This was my first Relay for Life event and it felt great being able to show up and help out the community.

Night to Unite

My royal sisters and I celebrated Night to Unite by visiting neighborhood parties in Inver Grove Heights and South St. Paul.  We stopped at Faith United Methodist Church to hand out glow bracelets to the kids playing in the bouncy house.  St. Patrick’s Catholic Church hosted us for sundaes- that was delicious!  They had Vanillas with strawberry syrup and strawberries, vanilla with chocolate and toffee, and vanilla with caramel and apples.  The police were there and we were able to jump in the back of the police car!  It was great to meet new neighbors in the community.  Everyone was so generous and welcoming!
