Service Project: Paws Abilities & Neighbors, Inc.

On Thursday the 17th I was at paws abilities in Inver Grove for the Egg-Cellent Sniff Out, it was excellent! I was there collecting food items for all animals in Dakota county for Neighbors Inc. I was collecting dog food, cat food and treats for dogs and cats, in total I received: 216 cans of wet food for cats, 11 bags of dry food for cats, and 16 bags of dog food, I also received 7 bags of cat treats. All together the animal food weighed 195 Pounds. I also was able to get Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue to attend the Egg-Cellent Sniff Out! They had a dog named Dodger! He was a handsome old guy who enjoyed all the pets from people who attended the event! He is up for adoption through Upper Midwest Great Dane rescue! If you see yourself wanting to welcome a new 4-legged addition to your family consider adopting from upper Midwest Great Dane rescue! I learned there is so much to Gain when you save a Dane.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday April 10th, my royal sisters and I were invited to help at Oakwood Park to assist with an Easter Egg Hunt. We began the day by hiding all the eggs across the field. We were also in charge of doing the countdown and we helped pick up the cones after the event. During the event, we set up three different hunts for the various age groups. It was wonderful to see all the kids having a blast, finding all the colorful eggs!

Jasmine

Service Project: City of South St. Paul

This last spring break, Little Miss Princess Jasmine thoughtfully made spring pictures to pass out to the residents at the John Carroll and Nan McKay buildings in South St. Paul.  She worked with Deb Griffith of the City of South St. Paul.   The  picture was then combined with an invitation to a pancake breakfast held this last Saturday April 5th.  Some candy was added and she stuffed them into bags to hang on residents doors.  Jasmine then went around to about 300 residents homes and hung the fliers and goodie bags on the doors.  The following week Jasmine, Deb of South St. Paul and even the South St. Paul Mayor threw a pancake breakfast for the residents. Queen Neveah of Inver Grove even came out.  They truly enjoyed their time and it was a special thing for Jasmine to do with the community.  All had fun and it was a lovely morning this last Saturday.

Moose Lodge 1088 Easter Event

My royal sisters and I had an amazing time at the Easter event at Moose Lodge. We handed out Easter baskets to the kids and helped serve pancakes and sausage to everyone. The Easter bunny made an appearance to take pictures with all the kids.  It was such a fun experience, and we loved getting the chance to bond and talk together. It was a perfect way to celebrate Easter.

Moose Lodge 1088 Booya

On March 29th, we were invited to the Moose Lodge 1088 for their 100 year anniversary Booya celebration. We helped sell shirts and clean up a bit. We also got to look at pictures from through out the years of the Moose lodge.  At the end we got to eat yummy cake! It was nice to celebrate their milestone as they’re so great to our program.

Sponsor Visit: Heartland Credit Union

On Friday March 28th I went to visit my sponsor Heartland Credit Union. I chatted with Vanessa and Bella and learned that Bella was a junior princess of her town growing up! I brought some photos of recent events we’ve attended that I’ve seen Heartland volunteering at as well.  They let me see how heavy the door for safety deposit boxes is, it’s heavier than you’d think!I’m grateful to Heartland for sponsoring me and this program!

Service Project: Inver Glen Senior Living

I completed my first community service project by volunteering several times at Inver Glen Senior Living. This is an independent living, assisted living, and memory care home for Inver Grove Height’s seniors. I volunteered by spending time with the residents’ playing games and socializing with them.  The home also has a dog for the residents named, Tuxedo. I enjoyed getting to know them and learning how spending quality time is important.   I look forward to continuing volunteering here.

Eagan’s FunFest Bowling

On Sunday, March 9th, my royal sisters and I went to Eagan’s FunFest Bowling Fundraiser. We had such a great time bowling and talking to Woodburys royal court, Saint Paul Junior Winter Carnival royal court, and the St Paul Winter Carnival. It was really fun to bond with everyone and share some laughs along the way. I also enjoyed getting to help Jasmine Little Miss Princess bowling, I even got to help her get a spare!

Great job Jasmine! We were all so excited to see you get a spare! The atmosphere was very positive, and the friendly competition made it even better. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I’m so glad we got to be part of it!
