I had the chance to visit my sponsor over the weekend. I met Tammy and Lu, who are both members of the board at the Moose Lodge 1088. I’m so thankful for the Moose’s sponsorship throughout this past year and their continued support as my year as Miss IGH is coming to a close.
My royal sisters and I had the opportunity to take part in the Aquatennial Parade. The parade route through Minneapolis was fun and different from our usual parade routes. We got to meet so many new royal families from all over Minnesota. We’re so thankful we got this opportunity!
Today before the coronation, I, Halley, and Ava did a goose chase. Take pictures around Hopkins based on clues. We only got to do half of it because there was a lot of things to do but it was fun! A couple hours later, was the coronation and the rest of the girls joined us. This was probably my favorite coronation so far because everyone was interacting in the crowd a lot. And to wrap the night, there was a royal ball that our group went to and it was really fun!
Because of the heat, music in the park was moved inside. I stayed at the table and ran the game called Plinko. There was not as many people there since it got moved inside, but it still was a success. At the end we handed out freezies , it was a fun event!
Some of my Royal sisters and me attended the safety camp award ceremony where we got to pass out awards and goodie bags that the kids had earned while attending the safety camp program.
On Monday my royalty sisters and I were invited to the Eagan coronation. It was fun to see the past royalty’s displays and meet the new royalty. Congratulations to the new court.
On Wednesday, July 8th my royal family and I went to the Kaposia library for our candidate orientation. We met all our candidates and talked about what it will be like throughout the summer in the program. We had a very large group attend. I am so excited to get to know our candidates better and it was so much fun to meet them!
My royal sisters and I participated in the Pan-O-Prog parade today in Lakeville. Before the parade, we got to attend a royal luncheon and meet the new Lakeville royal family. We also had the chance to see some very pretty Clydesdale horses. The parade route was packed with around 20,000 spectators and 133 parade floats! We had a great time at Pan-O-Prog!
On Tuesday morning we helped out at Music in the Park at South Valley Park. The special guests were Todd’n’Tina, who entertained the crowd with songs and dances. We helped with plinko where we gave out prizes to kids and handed out freezies after the music performance. We had fun helping out!
My royal sisters and I got to spend the morning of 4th of July at Eagan Funfest. We started the day off chatting with other royalty and then participating in the parade. Afterwards, we met some Eagan Funfest candidates at the royalty refreshments. Then we got to go on stage and have a royalty dance party! We ended our time at the Eagan Funfest by competing in the ice cream eating contest. We all had lots of fun!
