2017 Princess Service Project

On July 26th I completed my final service project as Miss Inver Grove Heights Princess. This service project involved me collecting donations of plastic bags from community members and then using them for a better purpose. I organized them and brought them to the Animal Humane Society in Woodbury. These bags then are reused for cleanup purposes for the animals in need. I collected over 150 bags and the workers were in aww at the donation. I’m glad to have been able to help out a local animal shelter!

2017 Sparkle Night

On Tuesday July 18, my Royal Family and I got to attend Sparkle Night at the Twins game. It was so fun to get to walk the field and our pictures were on the Jumbotron when we crossed home plate. It was my first Twins game ever. It was great seeing all the other Royal Families but my favorite part was after the game. I met a little girl at the train station who was so excited to meet a princess and take a picture with me. I loved seeing how happy she was.

2017 Rice Street Festival Kick Off Dinner

Tonight we had the opportunity to attend the Rice Street Festival Kick off Dinner. This event gave me, Kristi and other surrounding communities the chance to meet the new Rice Street Festival candidates as well as celebrate the current royalties past year. This event was a wonderful dinner at Ideal Hall and an overall enjoyable evening. It was great to socialize with surrounding communities royalty programs as well as support the Rice Street Festival! I’m excited for the festivities to begin and can’t wait to find out who is crowned!

2017 Junior Miss Princess Fort Snelling Service Project

For my second service project I was able to help out with Flags for Fort Snelling and put out the flags on Memorial day. My mom’s great uncle was killed in action during the Korean war, but he wasn’t found and buried for 58 years, so this was special to my family to be able to honor the military people. I also have my uncle and great grandma buried at Fort Snelling. I invited some family and friends to help with the event.  It was a great experience seeing all the people that came out to help and being able to honor to the heroes who have fallen for our freedom.

2017 South St. Paul Candidate Showcase

On Thursday, June 1st, my royal sisters Ally, Megan and I were able to attend the South St Paul Kaposia Days Candidate Showcase.  It was really fun the candidates had to make a dish and give the recipe, for something from their heritage or childhood.  My favorite was the gingersnaps and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. It was fun seeing all the other royal families again.
